Packers Family Night

August 3rd, we made it back to Lambeau Field for the annual Packers Family Night scrimmage.  It was our first time an it was oh so fun!  We decided to invite family, but the only ones who were able to come were Uncle Steve, Aunt Mary, Brianna, Olivia, Grandma Hawkins, Grandpa Hawkins, Alena and Mommy.  Who won?  Well, the Packers, of course.  Somehow, they ended up with 5 quarters of play, field goal try after fieldgoal try, and defensive/offensive line players kicking fieldgoals!  In addition, we saw paratroopers parachute onto the field, 2 Pop Warner football games (complete with Lambeau Leaps for the little guys), a drumline, walking french fries, and lots of crazy Packer fans, young and old!

Olivia seems unsure if she wants to go into the gate!  Maybe there were too many people?

Brianna helped to keep Alena busy with her phone!  Alena loved taking pic after pic, just like cousin Breezy!

Packers 5k

Grandma Hawkins ran, Mommy walked, and Alena rode to the finish line of the Packers 5k Run/Walk. 

Though Grandma was in a wave way ahead of us, we were back in Wave 7, the very last wave designated for walkers with strollers.  Here we are waiting for the start... the actual start is way up the street at the little white frame.

Craig & Ashley's Wedding

The whole family was happy to attend our cousin Craig and Ashley Cance's wedding in the beginning of July.  Auntie Avery helped to corral Alena and tell her all about the bride (aka princess) that was getting married.  Alena was in complete awe of how beautiful Ashley looked in her bridal gown.  She even deemed the bridesmaids, including cousin Katie Rose, as fellow princesses.  It was so cute seeing how honored Lena felt when the bride gave her a hug!

Thanks to my Aunt Nancy, the kids were able to play with a babysitter in a room adjoining the reception.  Mommy and Daddy were relieved to have at least a short break!  Once the dancing started after 9:30pm or so, Mommy grabbed Alena and took her on the floor to cut a rug.  After all, Auntie Ashley, Auntie Avery and Mommy pride themselves in being "dancers" at weddings!  It was only fitting that Alena hard-core boogied down along with her mom and Auntie Ashley.  She would have danced the night away if it wasn't for us needing to make the hour long drive home for bedtime!  She chatted the whole way home and didn't go to sleep until after 11pm!  She certainly had a fun time :)

Daddy's 35th Birthday

Eric turned 35 on June 18, so we got him some gifts... and Alena wrapped them pretty much all by herself! 


She was extremely proud of herself!

We also had a family dinner at Jade Palace with Eric's family, complete with cake and fun at our house afterward!
